Chicago, IL and Los Angeles, CA – (November 29, 2017) RIS innovator MedInformatix announced it recently went live with its RIS V7.6 software suite at Valley Radiology Consultants. Valley Radiology has served California’s North San Diego County for over 45 years, offering a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging procedures including x-ray, ultrasound, mammography, CT, PET and MRI. The announcement was made at the 2017 Radiological Association of North America Annual Meeting in Chicago.
Dr. Allen Nalbandian, President of Valley Radiology, says the implementation of the MedInformatix RIS stands to make his practice one of the most technologically advanced imaging centers in Southern California. “MedInformatix has a track record of helping practices fully optimize their workflows in a manner that scales to meet the needs of a growing practice like ours. The combination of our new MedInformatix RIS, along with our Sectra-powered PACS and other technology by Corepoint, PhoneTree and ZirMed, gives us a powerful platform from which to treat more patients with more services and do it all with more efficiency than ever before.”
Nalbandian says that once he was informed Sectra would be sunsetting its RIS, he and his team of physicians, administrators and technologists reviewed numerous industry options. What appealed most about MedInformatix was its ability to tailor their RIS and streamline the practice’s workflow between departments and staff. MedInformatix also provided an easy integration to Valley’s existing Sectra PACS. “Too many providers wanted to sell us an expensive RIS/PACS bundle and that’s not what we were looking for,” Nalbandian added.
Pat McGonigle, President and CEO of MedInformatix, says this is a comment he hears often in the marketplace. “The fact we are PACS agnostic and can integrate with most any industry partner is a distinct advantage for us. In this instance, we were happy to build our solution around Valley’s existing architecture and look forward to helping them continue to grow and serve their expanding patient population. It’s a productive partnership we are thrilled to be a part of moving forward.”
