MedInformatix Launches RCM Platform at Radiology of Indiana

Los Angeles, CA – (September 30, 2019) ) Health IT innovator MedInformatix announced today the successful launch of a revenue cycle management solution for Radiology of Indiana (ROI), considered among the top providers of comprehensive radiology services in the state. ROI previously operated on a GE Centricity® system.

“Our technology team has spent the last 7 months constructing a billing solution unique to the needs of ROI,” said Pat McGonigle, CEO of MedInformatix. “ROI is tops in their field. It’s been a worthy challenge and a complete pleasure to work so closely with their team to deliver a solution that not only meets their current needs, but will scale with their practice as they continue to experience impressive growth.”

McGonigle said ROI is among the first MedInformatix clients to incorporate new multiple procedure payment reduction (MPPR) and national correct coding initiative (NCCI) methodologies into their billing platform. These technology upgrades are intended to help practices better manage their revenue cycle by reducing reimbursement denials and boosting their bottom line.

“We could not be more pleased with the early results we are seeing since we made the switch to MedInformatix,” said Martha Bilbee, Chief Revenue Officer of ROI. “We were used to processing around 4000 charges per day on our previous system, and by day 2 on MedInformatix we were nearing 5000. That’s a trendline we look forward to continuing.” Bilbee notes ROI is also experiencing notable staffing efficiencies since moving to the MedInformatix platform.

With a team of almost 60 radiologists and affiliated technology professionals, ROI provides state-of-the-art diagnostic radiology, mammography, neuroradiology and vascular and interventional radiology services to patients throughout the greater Indianapolis area. Their expansive hospital network includes Community Health Network, Franciscan Health, Hancock Regional Hospital and Johnson Memorial Health.
